About Aerea Salon

Aerea Salon was originally created by Penny Wang and Sherwin Jones in 1995 (Former address: 18 E 17 St New York, Union Square).

Penny and Sherwin were formerly Vidal Sassoon's Creative Director and North East Color Department Director, respectively. Both taught at the Vidal Sassoon Salon and Academy in Chicago, New York and England during their ten years of employment.

Other than being a top stylist, teacher and director, Penny has traveled to South East Asia with Vidal Sassoon himself in the late 90's to promote his hair products and specialized the inside-out Bob that is still a top fashion trend today. Throughout her years of experience, fashion editorials, runways and seminars were part of her job description.

As the sole owner of the new Aerea Salon, Penny is looking forward to continuing the process of creating new trends and helping to develop a new generation of creative stylists.
