Penny Wang

Penny Wang

Creative Art Director / Manager / Owner

Penny's concentration was originally sculpture and the fine arts. She was instinctively drawn to haircutting, finding its use of shape and form the closest thing to sculpture. Precision haircutting is her métier and hair is her medium.

Penny worked as an assistant art director for Vidal Sassoon’s uptown salon for ten years, and as a styling instructor at various New York and London salons and academies.

Later, along with Sherwin Jones, Penny created the original Aerea Salon on 17th Street. With the opening of the new-and-improved Aerea Salon, Penny continues a tradition of expression and creativity with no inhibitions.
